Industry veteran Doug Sanders joined ComMar Sales, the Tiverton, R.I.-based marine manufacturer’s representative group, as a representative for the Gulf Coast states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

He will also represent select and limited electronics manufacturers in the Great Lakes/Midwest areas.

ComMar president Tim Conroy, in a statement, said, “Both our manufacturers and customers will find Doug knowledgeable, technically astute and a hard worker."

Sanders has spent the last seven years working as district sales manager for ICOM America and won numerous sales achievement awards. He serviced electronic dealers in the offshore/rig/commercial marine markets in the Great Lakes, Midwest and Gulf Coast. Prior to ICOM, he worked for Boater's World for 10 years as district manager in the Gulf Coast market.

Jarrett Bay Boatworks of Beaufort, N.C., appointed Roger Wetherington as the company's project manager.

Wetherington was most recently the service representative for Brunswick Corp.’s Hatteras Yachts Division in New Bern, N.C.

“His world-renowned expertise in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting will take Jarrett Bay Boatworks to the next level in customer service,” said Randy Ramsey, president of Jarrett Bay Boatworks, in a statement.

As project manager, Wetherington will oversee repower, refit and production projects in the service yard. Other key responsibilities include technical assistance, cost estimation and customer satisfaction.

Prior to his tenure as a Hatteras service representative, Wetherington served in a progression of service-related positions with Hatteras Yachts that spanned 37 years and entailed extensive travel throughout the United States, Caribbean Islands, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, France and Italy.
