Crystal-Pierz will sell off assets at auction

Minnesota-based Crystal-Pierz Marine will hold an online auction next week to liquidate excess inventory and other assets following the closure of several locations.
The Midwest dealer announced last month it will close half of its 12 locations because of the soft economy. The company is planning to close stores in the following locations: Rogers, Minn.; Forest Lake, Minn.; St. Cloud, Minn.; Hermantown, Minn.; Lake Mille Lacs in Mille Lacs, Minn.; and Clear Lake, Iowa.
“The market has been declining for the last three or four years,” Crystal-Pierz president Luke Kujawa said last month. “We wanted to make the right decision while there’s still time to do a summer liquidation sale.
The online auction will close Aug. 28. Inspection of auction items will be held Aug. 22, 23, 27 and 28. Inventory must be removed Sept. 2-4.
In addition to unsold boats, auction items include trucks, forklifts, skid loaders and attachments, boat trailers, pontoon trailers, shop equipment, shop manuals, props, water toys, tools, trailer parts, dock sections and accessories, boat lifts, and boat accessories and parts.
