Annapolis show includes tribute to U.S. troops

Producers of the U.S. Powerboat Show in Annapolis, Md., will treat wounded veterans to a special day of R&R during next week’s show.

United States Yacht Shows Inc. will host Vets on the Bay, a U.S. Navy Sailing project for wounded veterans of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and their families, during the Oct. 16-19 show. The vets are undergoing treatment at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington and the NationalNaval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.

The day includes a luncheon, compliments of Morton's Steak House of Annapolis, and a cruise on the Severn River aboard Annapolitan II, courtesy of Watermark Cruises and Annapolis Landing Marina.
