Harken manager wins Sail magazine award

Bill Goggins, commercial manager of Harken Yacht Equipment in Pewaukee, Wis., was awarded Sail magazine’s Industry Leadership Award Oct. 10 during a ceremony at the Annapolis Sailboat Show.

Goggins’ contributions to the sailing industry include helping grow the Discover Sailing program, and his accomplishments as president of Sail America — the sailing industry’s trade association — include oversight of the group’s new affiliation with the National Marine Manufacturers Association.

As commercial manager of Harken, Goggins’ responsibilities include executing Harken’s global marketing and brand strategy, as well as managing its worldwide sales force.
