Manitou Pontoon Boats announced that Steve Wiese joined its sales force as the director of dealer training and development.

Wiese brings more than 20 years of experience in the marine industry to Manitou. He was a longtime veteran of Johnson/Evinrude Outboards and most recently held a position with Van’s Sport Center in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Wiese will train dealers around the country on Manitou’s full product offering.

“We are eager to get Steve on the road to help increase our dealers’ product knowledge, using detailed competitive analysis that showcases the many advantages of Manitou and V-Toon technology,” Manitou president Scott VanWagenen said in a statement.

Great move by Manitou! Steve is a hard worker and a good rep, and will do well in his new position.
