Sunreef Yachts reports boost in production

Sunreef Yachts reports it is working at 120 percent of its production capacity with seven models under construction.

The Poland-based luxury catamaran builder is working on Sunreef 80 and 82 Double Deck sailboats, as well as a Sunreef 60 power cat. In addition, two 70-foot power cats, and 70- and 58-foot sailing cats in the works, according to Sunreef.

Sunreef said this production activity confirms that the large luxury catamaran market is now flourishing. To meet the demand, the company said it increased its work force 22 percent and now employs more than 450 people.

The 82 Double Deck and 60-foot power cat are in the final months of construction and will be unveiled Sept. 11-16 at the Cannes International Boat Show.

The Sunreef 80 is expected to launch in the spring of 2013.
