Marine publication announces staff changes

Boating Industry announced it expanded the team behind its magazine, websites, media and events.

Jonathan “Jay” Sweet is the new editor-in-chief of Boating Industry magazine. Sweet will join senior editor Mike Davin, associate editor Brent Renneke and associate digital editor Chris Gerber.

“I’m thrilled to be joining a great team at Boating Industry and to be part of such an exciting industry,” Sweet said.

Sweet replaces Liz Walz, who remains a part of the extended Boating Industry team and will continue as a columnist and contributor.

Amy Collins returns to Boating Industry as the trade group publisher, overseeing sales and promotion as well as events and brand-building efforts. Collins has 19 years of marketing and media experience, including six years with Boating Industry and related marine titles for GS Media & Events (formerly known as Affinity Media).
