IYRS schedules two open-house events

The International Yacht Restoration School will host open houses this month at its campuses in Newport and Bristol, R.I.

The events will take place from 4-7 p.m. July 17 in Bristol and July 19 in Newport.

The Bristol open house will be held at the school’s 5,000-square-foot facility at the Franklin Street Marine Corridor (253 Franklin St.). The campus is home to the school's marine systems and composites technology programs.

The Newport open house will be held at the school’s Newport campus at 449 Thames St. The waterfront campus is home to the school’s Boatbuilding & Restoration program.

At both events, IYRS staff and instructors will meet with potential students and answer questions about the school’s training programs, admissions, financial aid and other topics.
