Larson celebrates its 100th anniversary

Larson Boat Group is bringing back the popular All-American model to commemorate its 100th anniversary.

The Little Falls, Minn., company will unveil the model Larson built for four decades — from the 1950s into the 1990s — at its upcoming dealer meeting, Troy Brandt of Take it to Eleven, a public relations firm representing Larson, told Soundings Trade Only.

The meeting is set to take place Aug. 19-22 in St. Cloud, Minn., Brandt said.

Larson, which makes Larson, Triumph and Striper boats, also will hold a centennial celebration Aug. 21 for dealers and key community members who “were very instrumental in making sure Larson came back to Little Falls a couple years ago,” Brandt said.

Boat demos, factory tours and business breakout sessions will take place Aug. 20 and 21.

“The factory team continues to build our future success on new products and we will unveil 11 new models for 2013 at the meeting,” Larson vice president and COO Mike O’Connell said in a statement. “The Triumph Sportsman models and Larson’s new 20-foot FX fishing models, LSR sport models and the all-new All-American will be on display.”

“To succeed in any business, survive the challenges, enjoy the successes and do it for 100 years is quite an accomplishment,” Larson president Al Kuebelbeck said in a statement. “We look forward to sharing our vision for the next 100 years with our dealers, prospective dealers, vendor partners and community leaders at what we think will be a once-in-a-lifetime dealer meeting event.”

This year will be our 35 year as a loyal Larson Boat Dealer and we realize that the Larson Boat factory in Little Falls, MN builds more than just boats. We are very grateful to the folks in Little Falls who have been such a huge part of helping us build a successful dealership. Thank you and congratulations!

Ronnie and I would like to say congradulations for the wonderful job your company has done for 100 years, what an accomplishment. We know a lot of hard work has gone into making this happen. We were also happy to hear that Mike 0'Connell is your COO, have known Mike for many years. Wish we were close enough to come to the meeting, know it will be an exciting time. Thank you for letting Frees Inc. be your ventilation specialist.

Congratulations on 100 years! Great to see the All American name back in your line up. Also great to see that all of my old friends and coworkers are doing well and continuing to build on the Larson tradition.
