Navico wins West Marine top vendor honor

Navico was awarded the West Marine Vendor of the Year Award Wednesday for the second year in a row.

West Marine gave the electronics company, parent of the Lowrance, Simrad Yachting and B&G brands, the top honor for consistent excellence in collaboration, product quality, sales growth and excellent customer service at the specialty retailer’s 2012 annual Very Important Vendor Conference.

“We are truly honored that West Marine has recognized us as Vendor of the Year for the second year running,” Navico Americas COO Louis Chemi said in a statement. “This award is a testament to our strides in product development, unparalleled support, unmatched warranty programs and, most importantly, one of the best and hardest-working teams in the industry.”

Navico sales manager Steve Hamber was also once again presented with the Sales Representative of the Year award. “With responsibility for managing the relationship with West Marine, Hamber’s passion and dedication for customer service is a shining example of Navico’s commitment to our resellers,” Chemi said. “We thank him for all of his hard work and commitment.”
