Webinar set for marina and boatyard operators

The American Boat and Yacht Council and the American Boat Builders and Repairers Association are hosting a webinar Thursday to address payment protection for boatyard and marina operators.

Having the correct policies and contracts in place before work commences can be crucial to avoiding the frustrating of not being paid for services rendered, the ABYC and ABBRA said in an announcement. Those measures can help workers to legally pursue delinquent customers.

The webinar will explain how well-written contracts and clear policies can empower boatyard and marina owners to employ liens and arrest vessels, as well as deal with abandoned boats or pursue boat owners for money owed.

The webinar will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. EST.
