Social media firm adds Instagram access

Engaged, a company designed to help marine businesses use social media tools effectively, announced that it integrated with Instagram.

Instagram is a mobile photo editing and sharing app that has seen its user base jump from 15 million to 80 million since Facebook acquired the company in April.

The integration will bring Engaged users features such as searching, viewing and liking content, adding comments, sharing photos to other social platforms and gaining Instagram analytics and reports, company founder Josh Chiles told Soundings Trade Only in an email.

In late November, Engaged added YouTube to its social media dashboard.

Engaged offers dealers a dashboard to streamline all of the platforms in one place, eliminating the need to check various sites and remember various passwords. Messages can be scheduled ahead of time so the appropriate spacing is there, and dealers are automatically alerted to feedback from any of the venues.

Now YouTube and Instagram are among those sites streamlined on the dashboard and Google+ will be added by the end of the year, Chiles said.

A Facebook Tab Creator is 99 percent complete and nearly ready to add to the dashboard, and phase two of reporting is just around the corner, Chiles said.

“Our social media management dashboard has come a long way in the last month, and we're focused on making it the best on the market,” Chiles said.
