NMMA schedules industry breakfast in Miami

The National Marine Manufacturers Association will hold its State of the Recreational Boating Industry breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 14 at the Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail.

The event is by invitation only and takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center in room A201-202.

NMMA president Thom Dammrich will deliver a presentation addressing the state of the industry at 8 a.m. following breakfast.

Afterward, several awards will be handed out, including the Freedman Award, the Chapman Award, YachtWorld Heroes Nominee recognition, the NMMA Innovation Awards, the Marine Marketers of America’s Neptune Awards and the American Boat and Yacht Council’s special honor.

The Freedman Award recognizes people who have made outstanding contributions to the marine accessories industry through leadership, creativity and personal motivation.

The Chapman Award recognizes individuals or groups that provide consistent promotion and protection of the sport of boating.
