Hartford show organizers happy with 2013 results

The recent Connecticut Marine Trades Association Hartford Boat Show presented by BRP attracted more than 14,000 attendees as it returned to a four-day format.

The show, held Jan. 24-27 at the Connecticut Convention Center, included nearly 150 exhibits and more than 300 boats that covered the entire 145,000-square-foot exhibition hall for the eighth year, the CMTA announced.

The office logged more than 110 qualifying sales of vessels and motors, an estimated doubling of serious sales activity from the prior year.

Each of the four days of the show were sold out. The new Thursday opening was a VIP day, with special one-day tickets available from dealers. For the first time, it was designated as Ladies Day and women were admitted free.

The 45th annual CMTA Hartford show will return Jan. 23-26, 2014, to the convention center.
