Wis. governor will join Mercury negotiations

Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle says he plans to be involved in negotiations between Mercury Marine and its union as the company considers the possibility of shifting operations from Fond du Lac, Wis., to Stillwater, Okla., which would eliminate as many as 2,000 local jobs.

Marine Products Corp., the manufacturer of Chaparral and Robalo boats, reported a 77.4 percent decrease in net sales for the quarter ending June 30, compared with the same period in 2008.

CCP wins lawsuit brought by Viking, Post

A New Jersey jury last week found that Cook Composites and Polymers had not breached a warranty applicable to CCP's gelcoat used on yachts manufactured by Viking Yacht Co. and Post Marine, and that CCP was not liable for any of the damages claimed at trial.
