Argo Navigation announced in a statement that 50,000 boaters now use its free app for navigation and social boating across the U.S. and Canada.
Since the app’s launch in September 2019, Argo has seen customer acceptance double from 25,000 boaters in May 2021 to 50,000 users today.
The company attributes the growth to the app’s ease of use, positive user ratings and reviews and word of mouth.
“We are seeing both new and seasoned boaters on waterways from New England to Florida and throughout the Great Lakes (and) Canada regions choosing our app for navigation and improved social connections on the water,” Jeff Foulk, founder of Argo Navigation, said in a statement. “Argo intends to always offer boaters a robust free version of our app, but we will soon expand to offer more premium features and integration of value-added partner services for our active boater community.”
Boaters can use the app to connect with friends on the water and tap into crowdsourced local boating knowledge, navigation advice, destination reviews and more.
Argo is available for free download on the App Store or Google Play.
