MAN Engines’ power plants now meet major worldwide emissions standards, the company said in a statement.
The most recent certification was the China Marine Recreational Stage II emission standard for MAN’s 12-, 8- and 6-cylinder engines. Other certifications include EPA Tier 3, IMO Tier II and EU Recreational Craft Directive 2013/53/EC.
“Customers who decide today in favor of MAN Engines are certainly investing in the future,” said Claus Benzler, head of MAN’s marine business.
In other news, MAN announced a three-year extension of its partnership with Ferretti Group to supply engines for the Ferretti, Pershing, Itama, Riva and Custom Line brands.
