Centek Industries said it acquired Delta T Systems. The Riviera Beach, Fla-based manufacturer of marine ventilation systems will retain its staff at its current location. “The marine industry understands the value of offering comprehensive solutions, and we have positioned ourselves to provide it in a new, exciting way with a partner that shares our passion for innovation,” Centek president Bill Hodges said in a statement.
Champion sailor, author and America’s Cup historian Bob Fisher died Jan. 25. He was 85. Fisher, who died of cancer at his home in Lymington, England, covered every America’s Cup since 1967 (excluding the current edition) and wrote 30 books. Fisher first made a name as a top crewmember, winning seven national and world titles in the Hornet and Fireball classes, according to the sailing newsletter Scuttlebutt.
