Mantus Marine is converting snorkel masks into ventilator masks, as well as designing and producing acrylic intubation shields. Mantus founder Greg Kutsen is an emergency-room doctor who witnessed the shortage of protective personal equipment, according to the National Marine Manufacturers Association. The Texas company purchased more than 1.5 million surgical masks, 100,000 KN95 masks and 70,000 face shields to supply local hospitals.
