Canadian tender builder Carbon Marine will launch the Paragon Super Sport 28, featuring the world’s first fully exposed carbon fiber production hull, Feb. 11-15 at the 2016 Miami International Boat Show.

Bringing to the water characteristics of supercars, the use of carbon fiber has created an offshore hull that is lighter, faster and stronger than a conventional fiberglass hull, resulting in higher top speeds and better fuel efficiency, the company said in a statement.

Partnered with a Seven Marine 627-hp supercharged V8 outboard capable of producing a top speed approaching 90 mph and a cruising speed of 50 mph, and with a range of more than 200 miles, the Paragon 28 Super Sport also handles in rough water in a way atypical for boats under 30 feet, the company says.
