Azimut-Benetti Group has created the a Corporate Academy, a business school for yacht industry professionals that aims to support the growth of employees and create roles that are in demand to generate new jobs.

The academy will partner with vocational training agencies, secondary education institutes and universities. The training is structured in four areas. The Shipyard Academy and Executive Academy provide upskilling, re-skilling and executive education for group employees. The Development and Career Path is split into internal-growth sessions, and Education and Guidance offers hands-on projects for students.

A study published by the Italian marine trade group Confindustria Nautica in September 2022 showed the marine sector contributed more than $5.4 billion to the country’s GDP in 2021, a 31.4% increase over 2020. Total employees rose by 9.7%, with a peak of 14.7% in new builds.
