The National Marine Manufacturers Association was contacted by NOAA Fisheries to assist the agency as it implements a nationwide survey to understand the spending habits of saltwater recreational fishermen.

The survey will give the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration a better understanding of how saltwater recreational fishing affects the economies of coastal communities and how environmental or regulatory changes may influence them.

NOAA Fisheries asked that NMMA saltwater fishing-boat builders share the following memo requesting participation in the survey.
