PHOTO COURTESY SUZUKISuzuki Marine USA will team up with Miami-Dade County and the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show on Feb. 18 to remove trash along Rickenbacker Causeway. The effort is part of Suzuki’s Clean Ocean Project, and volunteers from Suzuki will join county representatives and the public for the cleanup.
“Partnering with groups like Miami-Dade County and Miami boat show is a powerful way for us to reach a larger, more diverse audience and engage the public with our long-term vision of helping our coastal and ocean environment,” George Blakely, Suzuki Marine USA executive vice president of sales and service, said in a statement. “Getting a free ticket to the boat show is a great added benefit and sweetens the deal even more.”
Volunteers will receive a complimentary one-day ticket to the boat show, valid for Feb. 18 or 19.
The cleanup will be based at 2601 Brickell Ave., and work begins at 9 a.m.
