
Brian Larkin was named president of Brooklin Boat Yard. He replaces Steve White, who took over for his father, Joel White, in 1990. The elder white founded the Brooklin, Maine, yard in 1960.
Larkin has been with Brooklin Boat Yard since 1987. “I’m excited about the opportunity to continue working on Brooklin Boat Yard’s workplace culture and product diversity, as well as improving its facilities,” Larkin said in a statement.
The company also named Eric Blake vice president, head of new construction.
“Brian and Eric have been carrying the lion’s of the work now for several years and doing a great job,” White said, adding that he believes the entire crew is the “strongest team we’ve ever had.”
The company said White will remain on board in a limited role.
“Being witness to the business that Steve created here in Brooklin has been an incredible experience,” Blake said.
