Formula Boats plans to return to the center console market this fall with two new models — the 387 Fish and 387 Sport. The announcement was made today at the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show.
“I’m excited. We’re excited. It’s a great extension of our dayboats,” Formula president Scott Porter told Trade Only Today. “It’s been awhile since we built this type of boat. We believe it will be a perfect complement to the rest of our line. This is a boat you will see at a poker run, a sandbar or a bar.”
Both models will ride a 38-foot, 7-inch stepped hull with 23 degrees of transom deadrise. Power options include triple 300-hp Mercury Verados, triple 450-hp Mercury Racing outboards or twin 600-hp Verados. The hulls are being designed in-house by John Adams.

Both models have cabins accessed through the console. The Fish model will be set up for serious offshore angling. The Sport model includes seating and accommodations for dayboating, along with with fishing features.
Formula said it will release launch dates later this year.
