Catalina Yachts and its sister brand, True North Yachts, have been acquired by Michael Reardon, founder and CEO of Daedalus Yachts. The deal marks a new chapter for the American boatbuilders known for their sailboats and Downeast-style powerboats.

“We’re not just preserving the legacy — we’re building upon it,” Reardon said in a statement. “Catalina and True North are iconic American brands, and I’m honored to lead them into the next era of growth and innovation.”

The companies will continue operating from their headquarters in Largo, Fla. Leadership has committed to retaining all staff, supporting dealer networks, and investing in new model development.

Patrick Turner, president of Catalina Yachts, called Reardon a natural fit. “Michael Reardon shares our values, and we are confident he will honor the history of our brands while guiding them into a strong and sustainable future,” he said.
