Tankoa Yachts announced that it acquired Italian builder OTAM. The transaction includes the OTAM brand and shipyard in Genoa.
The OTAM yard includes approximately 4,800 square meters of covered areas, 3,300 square meters of open-air spaces and a basin of nearly 10,000 square meters, with existing infrastructure and workshops. Tankoa will undergo a restructuring and upgrading program that includes extending concessions, consolidating and reorganizing areas, and building new production sheds in line with the yard’s needs.
The acquisition will integrate the OTAM workforce with Tankoa’s team. OTAM’s dockyard operation in Santa Margherita Ligure is not part of the acquisition.
