Netherlands-based Heesen Yachts announced the appointment of Capt. Mike Rouse as a strategic advisor. Rouse will work with the board and technical departments to evaluate emerging technologies, refine quality standards and embed operational feedback into early design and engineering processes.
“Bringing Mike into the organization marks a progressive step in our pursuit of excellence,” CEO Jeroen van der Meer said in a statement. “His operational insight, combined with our engineering capability, enhances our ability to deliver yachts that are technologically advanced and perfectly aligned with the realities of contemporary yachting.”
Rouse’s background spans hands-on command of large yachts, oversight of new-build projects, and years of work as an owner’s representative, the statement said.
