The Northwest Marine Trade Association announced yesterday the opening of its Grow Boating grant application period for 2026-27. The application process closes Oct. 31, and grants will be announced in December. Funds will be distributed in the spring of 2027.

Again this year, NMTA will award 10 grants of $1,000 to Pacific Northwest organizations “that get new boaters on the water, promote diversity and inclusion, and encourage current boaters to go boating more often,” NMTA said in a statement.

NMTA’s Grow Boating program has awarded more than $2 million in grants and promotional support since 2003. During the past decade, more than 80 organizations have benefited from this investment in creating new boaters and strengthening regional boating culture, the statement said.

The program application is available here.
