Star brite, ARCO Marine and C.E. Smith Company received National Marine Distributors Association Supplier of the Year awards, announced Wednesday in Rosemont, Ill., during the group’s annual S.T.E.P. conference.
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Star brite took the Diamond category. The company provides cleaning, maintenance and appearance chemicals for the marine, RV, automotive and powersports markets, with manufacturing and distribution in Montgomery, Ala. Sea-Dog Line was the Diamond runner-up.
ARCO Marine won the Platinum category. The Pensacola, Fla.-based manufacturer produces alternators, starters and charging components for the marine and RV markets, and is known for high-output alternators and Zeus charging technology. Polyform US was the Platinum runner-up.
C.E. Smith Company took the Gold category. Based in Greensboro, N.C., the company makes trailer parts, guides, fenders, bracketry, and fishing and hunting accessories. IMMI was the Gold runner-up.
NMDA also presented Special Focus awards for marketing, supply chain efficiency and distributor channel support. Star brite and ARCO won the Diamond and Platinum marketing and supply chain efficiency awards, respectively, and Airhead took the Gold marketing award. C.E. Smith won the Gold supply chain efficiency and distributor channel support awards. Trident Marine and SPX Flow/Johnson Pump won distributor channel support in the Diamond and Platinum categories, respectively.
