Italy-based Smartgyro named All Points Boats, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., fabrication shop, as its authorized dealer, installer and service provider for South Florida. The deal gives APB access to Smartgyro’s full gyro stabilizer lineup, which spans models for boats from 40 to more than 95 feet.
APB brings three decades of fabrication and engineering experience to the partnership, along with certifications from ABS and Lloyd’s Register.
APB president Nate Goodwin said in a statement that the shop’s hands-on approach to fabrication — building and certifying work to class standard — aligned naturally with Smartgyro’s engineering philosophy. Smartgyro USA sales manager Bob Walker credited APB’s market knowledge and service commitment as key reasons for the partnership.
Headquartered in La Spezia, Italy, Smartgyro operates under the backing of the Yanmar Group, alongside sister brands Vetus, Maxwell and Flexofold. The company frames the APB partnership as part of a broader push to grow its footprint in North America.
