The Soundings Trade Only Group and the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference announced the speaker lineup and topics for this year’s Marine Ideas Exchange, set for Oct. 7, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Tampa Convention Center.

MIX, a ticketed program offered as part of IBEX registration, will bring together marine industry executives for a keynote conversation and four concurrent forum sessions covering technology, artificial intelligence, innovation, leadership and shifting customer relationships.

MIX opens with a keynote conversation between Dometic Marine president Eric Fetchko and Michele J. Goldsmith, vice president and general manager of the Soundings Trade Only Group. Attendees then choose between two rounds of concurrent 35-minute forums.

The first round includes “The Future of Marine Technology & AI,” with panelists from Navico Group, Garmin and MarineSource, and “Changing Customer Behavior,” with representatives from Dometic Marine, Garmin and Regulator, moderated by ICOMIA president Joe Lynch.

The second round offers “The Process of Innovation: From Ideation to Finished Product,” with speakers from Dometic Marine, Volvo Penta and Regulator, and “AI for Business Leaders: Data, Disruption, Privacy, Policy & People,” featuring executives from MarineSource.

Between sessions, attendees can network in the MIX Sensory Lounge, sponsored by Tides Marine, Harman Marine, Spectrum Color and Sileather.

“MIX is designed to deliver something the industry needs: meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives and actionable ideas, all in one fast-paced morning,” Goldsmith said in a press release.

Dometic Marine is the title sponsor of MIX, with Garmin, Volvo Penta, Navico Group, MarineSource and Regulator as event sponsors. Early IBEX pricing ends Sept. 4, and organizers note that MIX last year reached capacity.
