For the second consecutive year, Active Interest Media is the title sponsor of Boating Writers International’s annual college scholarship fund.
The $3,000 BWI Active Interest Media Boating Journalist Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate college student who demonstrates a passion for the field of boating media and has a clear career goal in the areas of writing, photography, broadcasting film or art.
“Our future in the changing media landscape depends on attracting a new crop of talented, young individuals to steer the ship,” said AIM Marine Group president Gary DeSanctis. “Once again, we are thrilled to sponsor the annual BWI scholarship for those interested in entering boating media as their profession.”

The scholarship recipient will be named at the BWI meeting during the Miami International Boat Show in February.
