Dometic Group reported third-quarter net sales of SEK$5,116 million ($516 million), up from SEK$4,885 million ($492 million) a year earlier, with organic growth of 3% after a 6% decline last year. EBITA before items affecting comparability was SEK$495 million ($50 million), roughly flat with the prior year, for a margin of 9.7%.

The quarter’s headline figure was a loss, driven by a non-cash goodwill impairment of SEK$4,229 million (about $427 million) that pushed operating profit to SEK$-3,936 million ($397 million) and produced a net loss of SEK$4,380 million ($442 million). Dometic said the impairment reflected the sustained downturn in the North American recreational vehicle market and higher discount rates and had no impact on EBITA or cash flow. In the same quarter the year before, profit was SEK$113 million ($11 million).

The company said its marine division delivered organic growth of 4%, driven by its service and aftermarket channel, with an EBITA margin above 20%.

“Dometic delivered a solid third quarter with organic growth of 3%, continued positive momentum in order intake and a strong order backlog despite challenging end markets, particularly in the OEM sales channel,” president and CEO Juan Vargues said in a press release. “While profitability remains below our ambitions, the quarter demonstrated the resilience of our increasingly diversified business.”

Dometic also launched a new restructuring program focused primarily on its Land Vehicles Americas business, targeting annual savings of SEK$215 million ($22 million) by the end of 2028. Vargues said positive order development and a stronger backlog offered encouraging signs heading into the fourth quarter but cautioned that “market conditions remain challenging and volatile, and we will continue to operate with discipline and caution.”
