The Ocean Tribute Award, presented annually by the Düsseldorf boat show and the German Ocean Foundation, is accepting applications for the 2026 edition. The award recognizes efforts in marine and water conservation — from grassroots initiatives to global campaigns — with a €20,000 ($23,000) prize and international exposure at the Düsseldorf show.
“The international award winners we have honored at the trade fair since 2018 testify to the global significance of marine conservation,” show director Petros Michelidakis said in a statement. “Every country and every person on this earth is affected by the problem.”
Submissions are open to technical innovations, educational programs, scientific research and cleanup efforts that align with the United Nations’ sustainability goals. The winner will be announced during the Düsseldorf show, which is scheduled for January 17-25, 2026.
