Brunswick Corp. said its Sea Ray, Boston Whaler and Mercury Marine brands set “multiple records” at last week’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The company said in a statement that Sea Ray reported an 80 percent increase in show sales from a year ago.

Boston Whaler had “significant year-over-year sales growth in September and October, leading to a very successful Fort Lauderdale boat show,” which saw higher sales in boats larger than 32 feet, according to the statement. Boston Whaler launched its flagship 405 Conquest and 325 Conquest at FLIBS. Sea Ray introduced the 320 Sundancer Coupe.

Mercury Marine had more engines on display than any other manufacturer, the statement said. More than half of the engines in the on-water portion of the show at Bahia Mar were from Mercury.

“The tremendous success we had this year at the Fort Lauderdale show is a great confidence-builder for the 2020 Season,” Dave Foulkes, Brunswick CEO, said in the statement. “Sea Ray and Boston Whaler continue to execute on their strategic initiatives, resulting in outstanding new products, along with increased sales and brand recognition. Mercury continues to gain market share with its industry-leading high-horsepower outboards and commitment to creating a unique ecosystem of innovation.”

Foulkes also announced at FLIBS that Brunswick will exhibit at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Jan. 7-10. “With our leadership position in marine technology, it is the right time for Brunswick to actively participate in the largest electronics and technology showcase in the world,” Foulkes said. “Participating at CES will demonstrate that the latest generation of marine technology is absolutely worthy of a place alongside other transportation and consumer technologies.”
