The Marina Industries Association has opened the submission period for the Innovation Showcase, which is part of the Marinas24 Conference and Trade Exhibition.

The conference is scheduled for May 27-28 at the Royal International Convention Centre in Queensland, Australia.

“The showcase plays an important role in providing the industry with new solutions to existing problems,” conference chair Mike Harvey said in a statement. “The format also allows for smaller businesses who may not have the resources to exhibit to still have their solutions exposed to the decision makers of the marina industry.”

The Innovation Showcase will be the last session on the first day of the conference, with participating product developers delivering seven-minute presentations. A live poll of delegates will determine the winner.

The last winner was Paul Williams’ Man Overboard Marina Alarm System. “Presenting our safety system to marina operators and decision makers has opened many doors for us and raised much needed awareness toward our cause,” Williams said in the statement. “If you have a new and innovative product, I believe there is no better platform than participating in this showcase.”
