Travis Staats is the new marina manager at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor in St. Augustine, Fla.
Westrec Marinas vice president Jim Frye announced the appointment. Staats is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the marina and real estate operations.
He joined the business in May 2005 after earning a degree in sports management from Flagler College in St. Augustine.
Staats has since worked in every facet of the harbor operation. In October of 2011 he earned a state license for Class C drinking water plant operation, then became plant manager for the Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor Utility.
In January 2015, Travis was promoted to real estate manager at Camachee and took on the maintenance and development responsibilities at the marina, along with the role of managing the marina’s commercial and retail tenants.
“Travis’s experience and personality are well-suited to take the helm here at CCYH,” Frye said in a statement.
Westrec Marina Management has been working with the staff at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor assisting in a renovation and upgrading of the marina.
“We’re helping this first-class marina be better poised to serve their customer base and to attract more activity to the marina,” Frye added. “Travis is the ideal choice to lead the group through this transition and improvement.”
