Freedom Boat Club is hosting an All on Deck party Saturday for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America in Florida.

Freedom Boat Club members will volunteer their time to take kids and their mentors out on the water.

“What a great thing Freedom Boat Club is doing for Big Brothers Big Sisters and our community. It is the little things that make a big difference,” Freedom Boat Club member and volunteer Mark Ross said in a statement.

“A day on the water is an experience that most of these kids and mentors will never forget. I know from experience. As a lifetime boater, boating was one of the first events that I did with my little [brother] almost 18 years ago, and we are still friends today. Capture the moment. Pictures and memories last a lifetime. I look forward to volunteering and supporting this event.”

The boat rides will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. out of Julington Creek Marina in Jacksonville. The All on Deck party is part of Freedom Boat Club’s “Boating Big! All Aboard for the Littles,” a company-wide campaign to raise awareness and funds for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America.

The company’s corporate ownership and franchise owners/operators are working together in support of the 111-year-old organization, the first time in the franchisor’s 26-year history that all of its locations are focusing on the same charity.

“We love the idea of creating memorable experiences on the water for these young people and the adults who are so giving of their time,” said Lisa Almeida, franchise owner of Freedom Boat Club Jacksonville and St. Augustine.

“We hope our special guests will enjoy their boat trips. Our campaign to help the organization doesn’t stop after the party. We will continue our efforts on the local level to support and benefit our local chapter of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America.”
