MarineMax’s Northrop and Johnson unit announced it acquired France-based Superyacht Management SARL, known as SYM, to expand services to that segment.
The acquisition will add to earnings in its first full year, MarineMax said in a statement yesterday.
MarineMax acquired Northrop and Johnson in 2020, and the SYM acquisition enables the division to enter the yacht management business and strengthen its construction capabilities.
“The addition of SYM complements MarineMax’s ongoing diversification into a higher margin and global business … including buying, selling, insuring, building, crewing and chartering,” CEO and president W. Brett McGill said.
SYM is based in Golfe Juan, France.
