MarineMax said Harry Mountain was named brand manager of Aquila Power Catamarans.

The company said Mountain will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, sales and vessel delivery to new Aquila Power Catamaran owners. MarineMax is the only U.S. distributor of the catamarans.

“We are excited to have Harry step up from his role of Aquila logistics and operations manager, where his success precipitated him into his new position,” MarineMax president of charter and special initiatives Lex Raas said in a statement. “Harry’s extensive industry experience and his drive for excellence have paved the way for this well-deserved advancement.”

Mountain began his career in the charter industry more than 30 years ago in the Greek Islands. The company said he has worked extensively in the boating industry — serving in roles in North America, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Asia and the South Pacific — and has successfully managed 21 charter base locations across 13 countries.

Before he joined MarineMax, Mountain was regional operations director-Caribbean and Exotics, for TUI Marine.

Raas said Mountain will be at the St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show, which opened today and will continue through Sunday. MarineMax will display an Aquila 44 Power Catamaran at the show.

Construction of Aquila power catamarans began in 2012 through a partnership between Sino Eagle Group and MarineMax.
