MarineMax yesterday announced that it named Karl Anderson general manager of its Charleston, S.C. location. Anderson replaces Bruce Bellknap, who is retiring after 24 years in Charleston.

Anderson started his career at MarineMax Charleston in 2017 as a sales consultant.

“I could not be more excited to step into a leadership role with the team we have in Charleston,” Anderson said in a statement. “I feel humbled by the opportunity and feel it’s a testament to the mentorship I’ve received from our previous management team in Bruce Bellknap, Rick and Jeff Hall, and Jason Lindsey. … I’m eager to pay that forward with our current team as we continue to grow and improve our sales and service departments.”
