MarineMax Brick (N.J.) said the MarineMax Fishing Team will be a sponsor of the Warriors for Warriors Charity Shark Tournament.

The tournament will start on at 7 p.m. June 13 and continue until 7 p.m. the following day.

The tournament was organized by Point Pleasant Beach and Brick locals, along with Navy SEALs Rich Graham and Shannon Rusch, who have seen combat deployments worldwide.

The tournament is a fundraiser for Operation Restored Warrior, which offers at-risk veterans a program to help recover and restore themselves. The overall objective is to prevent suicides. MarineMax said an average of 22 American combat veterans commit suicide each day.

“When Dave approached me about being a sponsor for the Warriors for Warriors Charity Shark Tournament and explained the mission of Operation Restored Warrior, it became a priority to become a part of this charity event,” MarineMax Brick general manager Matt Cini said in a statement. “The men and women who have served our country in battle deserve support and respect from all Americans. I am exceptionally proud that MarineMax Brick is playing a part of this great event.”

A captain’s meeting and after-party will be held at the River Rock Restaurant and Marina Bar. The weigh-in will be at Crystal Point Yacht Club.

There are several ancillary fundraising events for people who are not in the tournament.

A Bike Night Fund Raiser will be held from 6-9 p.m. June 12. A Warriors for Warriors Charity Comedy Show is scheduled from 8:30-10 p.m. June 13.

An all-day fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. until closing on June 14 and the Fund Raiser Dinner and Tournament After Party will begin at 7 p.m.

All of the ancillary events will be held at the River Rock Restaurant and Marina Bar.
