MarineMax Vacations yesterday announced that it is sponsoring a service course for marine technicians in the British Virgin Islands. The workshop will focus on basic diesel maintenance, service and repair of Volvo Penta engines.
“We are honored to support the technical proficiency of marine technicians in the BVIs,” Phil Underwood, MarineMax fleet support manager, said in a statement. “Along with our partners at Nanny Cay, our commitment to providing exceptional service extends beyond our charter guests [and] to the wider maritime community in the BVIs, as well. By offering these tech workshops, we aim to help support those looking to expand their knowledge and elevate their skills.”
The workshop begins April 12 and will be held at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in Parham Town, Tortola.
