The Marine Recreation Association’s 46th annual Educational Conference & Trade Show will be held Oct. 23-25 at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa in Monterey, Calif.
For the fourth year in a row the conference will begin with the seminar “Introduction to Basic Marina Operations.” It focuses on developing the best management practices for new marine industry professionals.
This special one-day, two-session seminar on Oct. 23 is being offered to all industry professionals (members and non-members) at a rate of $89 a person and will include lunch and an invitation to the MRA Conference Welcome Reception in the trade show pavilion that night.
Both seminar sessions will focus on industry best management practices being utilized today to effectively enhance marina and boatyard operations, safety, customer service and fiscal results.
Organizers said the full conference will include more than 30 seminars and special presentations, information, a keynote speech by Gary Griggs, distinguished professor of earth and planetary sciences at the University of California at Santa Cruz, and an expansive trade show featuring more than 50 industry vendors and services.
The MRA is a professional organization that represents marina owners, operators and industry professionals throughout the western United States. It has additional members in Canada, Mexico and Australia.
