The Porto Montenegro Yacht Club expanded its offerings for 2016 by incorporating Porto Montenegro’s Sports Club and Tennis Club into its structure alongside the 210-foot outdoor pool and outdoor restaurant.
The Richard Hywel Evans-designed building is the official clubhouse; a private lounge for members was designed by MHZ of Paris.
A seven-person board of directors was appointed; James Wates is admiral and Tom Daniel is commodore.
“The PMYC has a stunning backdrop to sail against and a first-class yacht club with outstanding facilities. We are now developing an ambitious new racing program to complete the picture,” Wates said in a statement.
“We’re looking to become a reference point for yacht clubs in the Mediterranean, attracting a series of international sailing events to Montenegro in the process and showing the world just how much this country has to offer,” Porto Montenegro Yacht Club president Oliver Corlette said.
