Suntex Marinas, an owner and operator of marina properties, said it acquired State Dock Marina on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky.
“This has been an incredible period of explosive growth for the Suntex portfolio,” Suntex Marinas principal Chris Petty said in a statement. “State Dock adds another extraordinary and unique location for our members to visit and experience.”
Bryan Horne, chosen to be general manager of State Dock Marina, most recently was general manager of Pier 121 Marina in Lewisville, Texas, which Suntex said is one of the largest inland marinas in the United States, with more than 2,000 slips.
State Dock Marina is in the Lake Cumberland State Resort Park. The lake has a surface area of more than 65,500 acres.
Suntex adds the State Dock property to its portfolio of 24 marinas in Florida, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, Georgia, Iowa, Texas, Arkansas and the Caribbean island of St. Martin.
