Suntex Marina Investors named Rich Carter as chief operating officer. The company said Carter will be responsible for the “overall service experience” at all Suntex Marinas.
Before joining Suntex, Carter was a division president for Troon, the world’s largest third-party management company for golf and club-related assets. He also served as vice president of business development for Troon. He negotiated more than 40 management and advisory service contracts for the company.
The statement noted that Carter was an “integral part” of Troon’s growth from a single property in 1990 to nearly 300 locations worldwide, with more than $1 billion in assets under management.
“Suntex has a commitment to our members and visitors to provide outstanding value and remarkable service,” said Bryan Redmond, founding principal of Suntex, in the statement. “In his prior positions, Rich has demonstrated the same dedication to the customer’s experience. He will be a valuable asset in the continued growth of our company.”
In 2010, Carter was honored by Golf Inc. magazine as the “Third Most Admired Operator in the U.S.” Before Troon, Carter worked for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and the Williams Hospitality Group.
