Dometic Marine announced the promotion of Ray Wong to vice president of technology and product development, and the hiring of industry veteran Bill Longacre as vice president of aftermarket sales and e-commerce.
Wong joined Dometic more than 20 years ago and has been a pivotal player in developing some of the company’s standout products, obtaining intellectual property patents.
In his new role, Wong will be tasked with growing business through in-house innovation and supporting acquisitions.
“Ray will continue to work closely with our product management and business development teams to help ensure Dometic Marine’s tradition of innovation, product expansion and market leadership,” president Eric Fetchko said in a statement. “This is an exciting time for the industry and Dometic Marine.”

In a separate statement, the company announced the hiring of Bill Longacre, who joins Dometic after a decade with Teleflex Marine/SeaStar Solutions. (Dometic acquired SeaStar in 2017).
Dometic said Longacre’s background in consumer electronics and product marketing will be vital in growing its aftermarket and e-commerce business.
“I have had the pleasure of working closely with Bill over the years and have grown to trust his judgment and appreciate the energy he brings to every new challenge,” Fetchko said. “He will … focus on driving new growth through distribution, retail and e-commerce channels.”
