Dometic has committed to a sustainability goal to reduce its worldwide carbon emissions by 50 percent by 2030, the company said in a statement.
The company has developed a “climate roadmap” that seeks to decrease its environmental footprint by improving resource efficiency — starting with energy and electricity use at its worldwide facilities and extending to a close accounting of its supply chain transportation logistics.
“To show our commitment, we have started to communicate the progress toward our sustainability targets on a quarterly basis starting from the Q1 2021 interim report,” said president and CEO Juan Vargues.
Dometic’s annual Sustainability Report lists milestones for this year and three years into the effort. For example, this year its operations across Germany will get 100 percent of electricity needs from renewable sources.
Dometic’s sustainability goals also extend to its diversity and inclusion efforts, assuring its businesses meet the highest ethical standards, the company said.
